Bola Otaraki is a seasoned Professor, Speaker, Mentor, Coach, Trainer, Snr. Portfolio/Program/Project Manager; Management Consultant and Chemical Engineer with over 25 years’ experience directing successful, high-profile, high-risk, high-impact, multi-million-dollar global projects concurrently in multiple regions and continents for global organizations. She delivers projects applying Agile methodologies and/or Waterfall SDLC with stellar results and brings her industry insights/experience to her classrooms at various Universities and Colleges. She is a June 2021 graduate of the prestigious Project Management Institute Leadership Institute Master Class (PMI LIMC) and a thought leader in Project Management and Leadership. Bola has won awards for her Project Management work as well as Community Partnering work including the Toronto Police Community Impact Award and was inducted into the Black Canadian Women Wall of Role Models in 2016. Bola is a two-time Nominee of the RBC Top 25 Canadian Immigrants Award and a winner of the 9th Remarkable Mother’s award in May 2024 . Volunteering is a way of life for Bola and was recognized in February 2023, when Bola received the 2023 Toronto Police Awards Recognition for “Performance Above and Beyond; Exceeding the Expectations of our Community” Bola consistently volunteers her time, energy and expertise in different areas of interest and has volunteered and continues to do so at senior levels (including the Board level) with The Toronto Board of Trade, Agincourt Community Services Agency, PMI (Project Management Institute), TDSB (Toronto District School Board), YRCSB (York Region Catholic School Board) and YRSB (York Region School Board), TRIEC (Toronto Regional Immigrant Employment Council), OSPE (Ontario Society of Professional Engineers), on the political landscape and in her local church, JHT (Jesus House Toronto). She is currently a Professor, impacting knowledge, inspiring and motivating in Colleges and Universities. As a certified John Maxwell Coach and thought leader in Servant Leadership, she Speaks, Trains, Mentors and Coaches globally, leaving a lasting impact and legacy. She speaks at different events sharing compelling insights and recommendations. Her personal stories of survival, resilience, positivity and constantly pushing ahead in the face of adversity challenges and motivates many.
